Arcana Anonymous is a full Tarot Deck and booklet synthesizing female sponsor wisdom from 12-Step work. 

 

This deck was made in concert with the gentle advice of a woman with 47 years in Al-anon and 10 years in AA.   Arcana Anonymous seeks to share the stabilizing language in recovery, meetings, or sponsor relationships through the accessible route of card pulling. The Tarot outlines 78 archetypes of human experience on the journey of the soul. For each card of this deck, I asked my mother how someone in recovery might deal with a situation pertaining to that archetype. For example, if pulling the Knight of Cups card, how would someone in recovery deal with a situation that feels highly seductive?

This text is meant to be an intermediate recovery resource for those who might be intimidated by, just starting, or fully within their recovery process. It can be a resource for anyone in any kind of pain, anyone with friends in addiction, or anyone caught in addictive patterns.

Whether you struggle with addiction of any kind or you support friends, loved ones, or clients who are dealing with addiction, this kind of support is gentle and valuable. Nothing is quite like the support of others also in recovery.  This is why I collected my mother's nearly 50 years of sponsor advice for each scenario that the 78 arcana depict.
